HDS World Cup Special - 2026

Welcome to the HDS World Cup Special.  The competition is open to both members and non-members of the league and all that is required is a £3 fee.

How to play

The competition comprises of two parts:

Part 1. - This relates to the First Round, or Group matches of the World Cup. In this section you must predict the final score of each game and then the final group placings.  Points are awarded for predicting the result, the actual score and the placings in the group.

Part 2. - From your predictions in Part 1 you should be able to follow through the subsequent rounds up to and including the final.  Points will again be awarded according to how successful your predictions progress. NB. A quick Google will tell you how the third places work.  It's clear as mud so an educated guess may be in order.

The Entry Form

The entry form also consists of two parts.

In part one you simply fill in the boxes with your predicted scores, and the team placings in the group tables.

All that is required in part two is for you to predict which team goes through to the next round by completing the highlighted box in the grids grids as you go along.  The matches have been given numbers so that it is simple enough to carry forward the teams you have predicted as winners of each tie.
